FAQ
What’s the intention of the Lucid Dreaming Intensive?
To inspire astral development in a group setting by sharing theory and practical techniques that help to increase our level of dream awareness, connect more deeply with inner guidance, and discover that exploring the other side of our existence has great value.
Do I need prior experience?
Not at all. The intensive is designed to enhance a wide range of dream practices and levels, whether you don’t remember any of your dreams or you already have lucid dreams and want to add more consistency and depth to your personal practice.
What is the structure of the intensive?
Students will be paired up (if they wish to be), and these pairs will work closely together throughout the course. We encourage regular communication with your partner, whether through calls, voice memos, emails, etc. Each week will feature one group meeting with all participants and one trio session with your partner and assigned guide. The trio session allows us to go deeper into your own experiences and receive personal guidance that best fits your needs.
What topics will the course cover?
Topics include, but are not limited to the following:
Benefits of Dream Work
Improving Dream Recall
Dream Signs & Reality Checks
Sleep Science
Lucid Trials
Maintaining Lucidity
Importance of Memory + Imagination
Freud & Jung
Improving Our Discernment Through Dream Work
Dream Work As a Preparation For Death
Astral Retreats
Dream Analysis and Symbolism
Reframing Nightmares
Will we only be talking about dreams?
Our main focus will be developing the astral, though we will also touch on other topics such as science, the Tree of Life, tarot, the Scriptures, to name a few. It really depends on the collective interests of the group.
We can also explore these other topics during personal sessions, based on what is coming through each student’s astral experiences and their own interests.
How long is the course?
12 weeks.
When will the course begin, and what day/time will the weekly group meetings be?
The course will begin on the next full moon. Once we know each participant’s schedule, we will choose a day and time that works for everyone.
How many students & guides will there be?
There will be one guide (Kourken) and up to 8 students.
What’s the length of the meetings?
The group meetings will be between 1.5 to 2 hours long, and the trio sessions will be around 1 hour. If students prefer not to have a partner, a 30-45 minute weekly session can be scheduled with the guide.
How will dreams be shared among the group?
Each student pair will have their own dream document, where they can share their dreams. The guide will be able to keep track of their progress and experiences through this document and add comments, etc. There will also be a community discord channel to allow dreamers to share select experiences that they feel could be helpful and inspiring for the whole group.
What happens if I miss a meeting?
You can reach out to your partner or another student to catch up on what you missed. Your guide can also assist you during the trio session.
Can I join the course late?
Students can join through the conclusion of the course’s second week. The guide will help you get caught up on what you missed.
How much does the course cost?
All courses & retreats at SG Lucid Lab are free of charge. You are welcome to make a voluntary contribution to our community fund, which helps to cover operational costs, such as lodging, food, and materials for students in retreat.
